Creating natural soaps that you and your family will love
Our journey into making cold process soap, began when I attending a soap making class in Downpatrick. The idea of creating something so essential, yet often overlooked in our daily routine fascinated me.
It has taken over two years to perfect our soap recipe, which reflects our patience and commitment to crafting something exceptional. We've spent countless hours of trial and error, fine-tuning the balance of oils, butters and natural additives to achieve the perfect texture, lather, and skin nourishing properties.
All of our soaps contain 100% essential oils, and nourishing cocoa and shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, RSPO palm oil, Mourne honey supplied by bee keeper Darren and Celtic sea salt. Combined these ingredients creates a truly luxurious soap.
What inspires us?
The beauty of the Mourne Mountains and the rugged charm of the County Down coast has been the inspiration for the name of our business and the names of our soaps. From The Black Stairs Charcoal soap, Deer's Meadow Oat & Honey soap, Mountain Heath Lavender soap, Doan Sunset Turmeric soap and not forgetting Maggies Leap Indian Pale Ale Soap. These beautiful names from the Mournes each evoke a unique aspect of the landscape, symbolising natural elements, rugged cliffs, untouched beauty and golden sunsets. By using these names we hope to transport users back to the heart of the Mournes and County Down.
